Verónica García Montalvo received her BSc. in Chemical and her PhD. degree in Chemistry from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). She was awarded with the UNAM “Alfonso Caso” Medal as best PhD graduated in Chemistry (1996). she held a postdoctoral position at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany (1996-97) and at the Institute of Physical and Inorganic Chemistry, University of Bremen, Germany (1997-98). In 1998 she joined the Instituto de Química of the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
