  • Chemical study of Mexican flora, isolation and structural determination of secondary metabolites and analysis of its biogenetic and chemotaxonomic implications. Synthesis of Natural Products.

  • Determination of reaction intermediaries using 1H, 13C and multinuclear nuclear magnetic resonance, to propose reaction mechanisms.

  • Development and application of new synthetic methodologies, in particular on natural and non-natural cyclopeptides and cyclodesipeptides.
